Faculty of Islamic Denominations:


Since the beginning of its educational activity, the University of Religions and Denominations consists of three faculties:

Faculty of Shiite Studies

Faculty of Islamic Denominations

Faculty of Religions

Each of these faculties includes three departments. The head of the faculty, appointed by the president of the university, introduces his research and educational deputies as well as heads of the departments to the president of the university to be approved.

The departments of the faculty of Islamic Denominations are:

Theological Denominations

Jurisprudential Denominations

  Sufism and Islamic Mysticism

Admitting  student for M.A courses since 2005, this faculty has started to admit students for PH.D courses of "Theological Denominations" and" Sufism and Islamic Mysticism" since 2011 and  for  PH.D courses of "Comparative Studies of Islamic Denominations since 2012.

 Presently, the faculty has up to 370 M.A students and 190 PH.Ds, planning to launch PH.D courses for the History of Ithna Ashari Shiite and Shiite sects.

Up to now 170 M.A students have managed to graduate from this faculty, pursuing their studies in this university or the others to get a PH.D degree.
